Inaugural ‘Bourbon Derby’ to Benefit New Thoroughbred Breeders Museum
The newly forming Thoroughbred Breeders Museum, Inc., 205 Main St, Paris, KY 40361, has created a new fundraiser called the “Bourbon Derby” for runners that love to run the beautiful bluegrass horse country of Bourbon County.
Over 500 runners have already signed up to run on Saturday, June 14, 2014, at 7:30 a.m. The race will start at the Bourbon Drive In Theater on Jackstown Rd. There will be 3 different levels: 1/2 Marathon, 10 Mile, and a 4 Mile. The 3 different races will go to three different horse farms Whispering Oaks, Hillcroft, and Adena Springs Farm.
Because so many races are often held in cities, the Bourbon Derby race has already received great excitement and enthusiasm to be held in the beautiful countryside of Bourbon County—celebrating “Horses, History and Hospitality”. We have runners coming from not only Kentucky but Wisconsin, Florida, North Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee, Illinois, Alabama, and Indiana.
The newly forming Thoroughbred Breeders Museum is an IRS approved non-profit 501c3. The museum is dedicated to preserving the history of the Thoroughbred Breeding farm in the Bluegrass and throughout the World.
